— About me, social media, and how to get in touch
Mica M. Harrison is a fiber artist, costume designer, photographer, and avid book reader originally from New England.
Mica focuses on the cultivation of relationships through the tactile nature of her work. Much of today's culture is driven by the need for immediacy through mass production, making it easy to loose touch with who and what is truly meaningful. Mica engages in the elevation of these relationships through art and theatre.
Mica received with honors a BFA in Fibers and a BA in Art History from Indiana University at Bloomington. She studied under Rowland Ricketts and Megan Abajian and is the great-granddaughter of Boston sculptor Frederick Warren Allen. She currently serves as the Director of Recruitment and Enrollment at Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama. Mica has studios in Traverse City, MI, and Pittsburgh, PA.
